The Better-Off Guarantee
Your $99/year Autopilot Pro membership — parking alerts, camera voice alerts, tow tracking, automatic contesting, and on-time ticket payment — should leave you better off than you started.
By the end of your paid year, every Chicago ticket should land in one of three places:
- Ticket-free — you didn't get any.
- Paid on time — we handled it before it doubled or hit boot enforcement.
- Dismissed — we contested it and won.
You pay the ticket. We pay everything after it.
The face value of a Chicago ticket is yours. Every penny the city stacks on top of it is ours: if an eligible ticket doubles on our watch, we pay the late penalty. If your car gets booted over one, we pay the boot, the tow, and the storage.
A ticket we contest and lose does not trigger the guarantee on its own — as long as we then pay it on time at the original fine, you're no worse off than if you'd paid it day one. The guarantee kicks in only when the ticket ends up in the bad zone: doubled past the 25-day window, or at boot enforcement.
We pay the amounts the city stacks on top of an eligible ticket — never the face value of the ticket itself.
Red-light and speed camera tickets are covered like any other: if one doubles on our watch we pay the penalty, and we pay the boot, tow and storage if unpaid camera tickets put your car on the boot list. What we do not promise is a dismissal — camera tickets are the hardest to beat at a hearing, which is why the app is built to keep you from getting them.
Your city sticker and plate
Switch auto-renewal on and we file your city sticker and licence plate before they expire — a person checks every one. That is a membership feature, and we would rather describe it plainly than dress it up as a promise: filing depends on you giving us the details in time, so a sticker ticket is covered exactly like any other eligible ticket. You pay the face value, and every penalty the city stacks on top of it is ours.
Claim window
Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the qualifying event (your ticket doubling or hitting boot enforcement), or within 30 days after your membership year ends — whichever is later.
What we need from you
The ticket number plus the city receipt or invoice showing what you were charged on top of it (the penalty line, or the boot/tow/storage bill).
